I have been a frequent contributor of opinion pieces to The Newcastle Herald, The Sydney Morning Herald and occasionally to The Australian newspapers. I continue to write feature articles for Australian Medicine¸ the newspaper of the Australian Medical Association, and for Australian Doctor¸ the principal Australian medical newspaper. I have written several hundred such articles. I was a general book reviewer for The Newcastle Herald for about 15 years and contributed occasional poems to that paper as well. I am currently writing poetry with a view to publication in the next two years.
