Academic and Student Visitors

The Menzies Centre for Health Policy invites academics and students from both Australia and overseas to apply to undertake research as a visitor to the Menzies Centre. Potential visitors should have a strong interest in health policy and a research project that will complement the research strengths of Menzies Centre staff.

All visitors are asked to either present a seminar during their stay or work toward the production of a report, journal paper or other document with researchers from the Menzies Centre.

Students and academics who wish to visit the Menzies Centre should forward their application to the Visitor Supervisor, Dr Cathie Hull (see below). Applications will be assessed on the feasibility of the proposed research and the capacity of the Menzies Centre to provide the environment for the research to take place.

Application Process

When applying to become a visitor to the Menzies Centre, applicants will need to provide a written application which includes the following:

Academic visitors should discuss their plans with the Visitor Supervisor, Dr Cathie Hull via email at cathieh@med.usyd.edu.au. As appropriate, academic visitors are requested to either present a seminar during their stay or work toward the production of a report, journal paper or other document with researchers from the Menzies Centre.

Length of Stay

Visitors normally stay between one and three months. An identification of the preferred timing and length of the visit should be included in your application.

Financial Support
